Where is your heart? What treasures do you place before the Kingdom of God?

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Luke 12:32-34 NKJV)

It’s good to have the ability to live comfortably and have many possessions; they are indeed gifts from God! But you mustn’t allow these things to take over your life, these things are only temporary, and in the end you can’t take any of it with you. Think eternal, think Heavenly! Live life with a Kingdom bound mind! Keep Jesus front and center and place others before yourself. Stay focused on the impact you will have in their lives instead of your own. Live for making a loving and lasting impression! For these things will stand the test of time! Choose to store up treasures in Heaven that do not fail, and live a godly life. Follow Jesus in all that you do, and you will have plenty of treasures, and plenty of pleasures, that will last forever! Where is your heart? What treasures do you place before the Kingdom of God?

Heavenly Father, I ask that you help me with my priorities. Help me stay focused on you and not on the things that rot and decay, the things that only give me temporary pleasures. Help me focus on the eternal things, the things that last, the things that stand the test of time. Help me build lasting relationships that impact others with your love. Help me have a Kingdom bound mind and Keep me filled with your Holy Spirit so I can put others first, and myself second! Father, thank you for all that you do and are doing in the lives of those who are yours! We do all things to glorify you, and want nothing more than to be like you! In Jesus’ name, amen!
