God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds. – Hebrews 1:1, 2 (NKJV)
“Whom He [God] has appointed heir of all things, through [Jesus] whom also He made the worlds.”
God the Father has appointed Jesus to be “heir of all things” that means Jesus is in charge! He is the King of all kings! Are you allowing Jesus to rein as heir of all things as you walk down the streets of life? When you turn on the TV do you ask Jesus is this something I should be watching? When you pick up that magazine do you ask Jesus is this something I should be looking at? When you get in your car to head to work do you allow Jesus to drive, or are you letting your middle finger and fowl mouth do all the work? Are you obeying the traffic laws, the laws of the government whom God appointed and approved? Do you use the king’s name in a derogatory way? Do you even think for a minute that maybe these things are wrong? Jesus came to be the savior of the world, to save sinners! To purify the sinners heart! He died on a cross for you and me! He now lives to intercede for us all! But you must allow Him to intercede for you, you must invite Him in! Will you let Jesus be the heir of your life? Jesus is knocking, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20 NKJV)” Have you, or are you willing to open the door and let Jesus in? Invite Him in and allow Him to purify your heart! Follow Jesus in all His ways; read His word and do what the King says to do! Have conversations with Jesus, pray to the King of kings! Ask Jesus to be a part of your life! Ask Jesus to walk with you down the streets of life that lead to righteousness, and away from the dead end streets that lead to the fiery depths of destruction!
Thank you for providing us with a King who can rein over all things! A King who can hold our hands as we walk down the streets of life! The streets of life that can sometimes be so difficult to walk down, our knees become weak, are ankles buckle at are feet! We need the strength that only our mighty King can provide! Father, help us stand upright as we walk down these streets, keep us from walking down the wrong way, keep us off the dead end streets! Help us to do what’s right! Help us to do what’s pleasing in the sight of your eyes! Help us to ask the right question, help us to ask Jesus to be our guide! Thank you Jesus for being my King! In His name I pray, Amen!
