As Jesus would say “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”

As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more. (Psalms 103:15, 16 NKJV)

I have been alive for almost a half of a century, born in the late 60’s I have already seen several changes in the way that we have lived and here it is the year 2013 already! For me life seems to be going by rather fast, and the older I get the faster it seems to go! And If I were to look back at my life up until this point, I could probably come up with several things that I would like to change. Maybe things I did, or didn’t do, or maybe things I said, or didn’t say. But then I think where would it get me? Where would I be today if those things were changed? Would I even be alive? If it were not for the things of my past I would not be who I am today. Our past definitely shapes our future. It molds us into who we are. And after thinking about it I choose to change nothing! It’s been a long journey and I have learned, and changed a lot of things and I like where it’s going! But the one thing I would like to do now is give you some information that I have learned from my life experiences, and my hope is this… that you will take my words to heart and change your future! “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”

First of all I love you and care about you, I wouldn’t be typing these words if I didn’t! This is from my heart and I don’t want you to miss out on the joy that you can have! My life has not really been all that bad, but it hasn’t always been that good either. It has had its ups and downs! Most of my life I have tried and done many things. Think of one thing, if I didn’t do it I probably thought about it! I have made a great salary over the years and have wasted most of it! And it was wasted on a lot of temporary pleasures, including drinking alcohol, which some may say is no big deal, but for me it was! It was an addiction; it caused me nothing but trouble, a whole Lot of wasted time, and short term memory! OK, maybe the last issue is aging. Don’t drink! It’s a bad habit! Don’t even start!

It’s been over two years since God gave me the power to quit drinking, and the best thing I ever did for my life was admitting to Him I needed His help! Since accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior my life has changed dramatically! It’s been a pretty awesome journey that’s for sure! All I can say to you is no matter the circumstances God can get you through it! Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you won’t regret it! Do it today! Yes! Today! Believe there is a God and believe in His Son Jesus Christ, admit that you are a sinner, ask for His forgiveness. Start a one on one relationship with Jesus and follow in His ways in all that you do. Give all your cares and worries over to him and you will persevere! Your future will be secure! Read and study the Holy Bible daily; pray daily, have conversations with God! Join a good Bible studying church and be with other believers. Fellowship with them by spending time with them and learn from them! You will see that their life stories will be very similar to yours; they share the same things as you do. It really is amazing! Start changing your evil sinful ways! For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23 (NKJV) for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23 (NKJV)

You may think (As I once did!) “I’m not a sinner!” “I don’t need God!” “I don’t need religion!” “My life is fine the way it is!” “I’m a good person!” “I don’t cheat or steal!” “I’m not mean!” “I give to the poor!” “I’m not judgmental!” “I live a good life!” “I don’t need a set of rules!” And so on and so forth! You get the point! What most people don’t realize is that sin is what separates us from God! It’s when we as humans turn our backs on God and choose to have nothing to do with Him! We live life our way! And when we refuse to have anything to do with God we will eventually fail! The adversary will creep into our lives; he will continue to feed us with temporary pleasures; he will do everything in his power to keep us from God! What will happen to those who continue to live separated from god? They will eventually end up in the depths of Hell! The Bible tells us in Matthew 13:49-50 (NKJV) “The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” But this is not what God wants! He loves us and wants us all to come to repentance, for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. – John 3:17 (NKJV) God gave us free will, we can choose for ourselves which way we should go, live life on our own or with God by our side! Don’t make the wrong choice! Choose a life with God! Choose Jesus! You won’t regret it! For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you. Psalms 84:11, 12 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,
I thank you for all that you have done through my life; I thank you for what you are doing now. Without your intervention I would not be where I am today. I choose you! I choose Jesus! I choose what is good, I choose endless Joy knowing that I have my name in the book of life! I will be Holy because you are Holy! Father I pray for all those with the attitude I had, stubborn and trying to live life on their own. We all need you in our lives! Soften the hearts of the stubborn, show them your face! Lord God, thank you! Not my will but your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven! In Jesus’ name amen!
