Do you know God personally?

To know God personally is to know Jesus Christ, and through Him we can have a relationship with God, but in order to do this we must first have faith.

The Bible tells us in (Hebrews 11:1-3): Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Even though we may not see God physically he is alive and can be seen every day by looking all around us. He created what we see.

(Romans 1:20) tells us: For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

Then there is God’s written word, “The Holy Bible “  written many years ago by several human authors who were moved by the Holy Spirit and divinely inspired by God to write about what they knew and saw.

(Psalm 19:7) tells us: The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

One well-known author named Paul writes in (1 Corinthians 2:12): Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

He also writes in (2 Timothy 3:16-17): All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

When we read the Bible we will find the Word is like a mirror, it confronts us, it convicts us and It points things out to us, the Word is what sets us free.

(Hebrews 4:12) tells us: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

To know God personally not only do we need to have faith in the unseen and believe that the Word of the Bible is God; we need to believe in the Son of God, for He is the only way to God the Father.

In (John 14:6) Jesus tells Thomas, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

So who is Jesus?

Jesus is God’s only begotten son who came to this earth and lived as a man; He lived a sinless life and died on a cross for all our sins; He was then buried and was raised up on the third day.

(John 3:16 tells us): For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

We all need to believe in something and what better than to believe in God and His Son. God really does love us; He wants us all to have everlasting life even though we are all sinners and are separated from God He wants us to have joy and peace in our lives.

The good news of Jesus Christ is more than facts to be believed; it is also a life to be lived-a life of righteousness befitting the person, “justified freely by [God’s] grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24) This is a quote from The Open Bible, NKJV.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord(Romans 6:23)

The Bible tells us, ”If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)

Do you want to repent from your sins and start living a life worth living and have peace and joy in your life? Receive Jesus Christ as your lord and Savior and be forgiven of your sins.

Are you willing to give your life to Jesus right now?

If yes, then read aloud the following prayer…

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner.
I believe You died upon the cross for my sins and that You rose again from the dead.
I repent of my sins.
I confess that You are Lord and Savior.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct my life.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Now if you truly believe in your heart these words you just prayed, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart, God has forgiven you, and you will spend eternity in heaven. How great is it to now know that one day you will go to a better place, a place in Heaven where there will be no more pain and suffering.

We read in the Bible (John 14:21) where Jesus tells Judas (not Iscariot), He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

Take heart: For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. (Hebrews 10:26)

In order to help you grow in your relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ you need to read the Bible; Commit yourself to prayer; Spend time with other Christians by joining a church; Tell others about your new faith in Jesus Christ; And start living a less sinful, joyous life—let Jesus Christ guide you down the right path!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own Understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6)
