Not so long ago in a far off land there was a young boy who wandered off and was nowhere to be found, but then he was found, and what was this young boy up too? Let’s find out!
“And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it; but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day’s journey, and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances. So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him. Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.” And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.” Luke 2:42-50 NKJV
And just like his parents those who don’t have a true relationship with Jesus Christ will not understand either. And the only way they will ever know, is if they are given understanding, and how does that happen?
Jesus tells us exactly what needs to be done—“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV)
Seek The Father by seeking Jesus, seek Jesus by opening up a Bible and reading the gospels. Pray to God and ask Him to reveal himself to you and He will reveal himself. Ask Him for understanding and you will receive knowledge and wisdom! Ask questions and listen closely and the answers will come to you! And just like the parents of Jesus who sought after Him He will be found!
If you don’t know Jesus you’re missing out on the blessings that God pours out to all who know His Son!
Do you know Him? God loves you and has a purpose for for your life.
Jesus tell us himself, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
Not only that, but that you may have it more abundantly!
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV
But here’s the deal our sinful nature is what separates us from God and the honest truth is this, we are all sinners and fall short from what is expected of us.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 NKJV
Most think that if they are good and do good deeds they will be fine, but the truth of the matter is… that’s not really going to help us. Jesus is the only way to redemption, Jesus is the only way to the Father in Heaven.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV
We need to follow Jesus, we need to believe in The Son! It’s as simple as that! The Bible tells us, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” John 1:12 NKJV
And what do we need to do?
We confess… the Bible tells us, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NKJV
The gospel of Jesus is this, “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,” I Corinthians 15:3-4 NKJV
Jesus now lives and sits at the right hand of God The Father, He loves you and waits for your response to His calling, He calls you now, will you accept His invitation?
I put my trust in You! I am a sinner that needs to be saved! A sinner that needs to be shown the way! I believe You died for my sins, you were buried, and rose again on the third day! You are alive and You are my Savior! I ask for Your forgiveness and I ask that You would draw near to me and show me the way! I commit my life to You and I repent from my sins! In Jesus’ name amen! That’s it!
Now open up a Bible and read it, get plugged into a church! Get hooked up with other believers! “Continue to seek His Word and you will find the answers to all your questions!”
Have a wonderful day in Christ!
