“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

Not long ago I was lost but then I was found. My destination in life was not at all Heavenly bound! I was walking the streets that only led to death! The street’s that led straight to the fiery depths below! But then one day I overheard a conversation, that led to a revelation and I turned to The Lord! He saved me from my own destruction! He pulled me from the pit! He set me on the straight and narrow path! And ever since that day, I put all my faith, trust, and hope, in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ! I live because He lives! He is my Lord and Savior! He is my hope! He is all that I hope for! He is All that I hope to be! And one day this corruptible will put on incorruption and this mortal will put on immortality, and at the sound of the last trumpet I will be changed! O how glorious that day will be!

Paul the Apostle writes, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” – I Corinthians‬ ‭15:50-58‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The conversation I overheard I can barely remember, but I can tell you this, it was in 2010 and it was a conversation about Jesus Christ, and overhearing that conversation led to a series of events that most certainly was of God! He pursued me and He spoke to me in many ways, it wasn’t an audible voice, but through many different means it led me to pursuing Him! And ever since then my world has changed! I am now a child of God! I have a future and a hope! And one day, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, and at the sound of the last trumpet, I will be changed! I will have achieved victory over this god forsaken world! I will have achieved victory over death! There will be no more tears, no more sorrow, no more pain! I will be in a place where there will be many mansions and many streets of gold to walk down! Praise be the glory to God!

Life is too short to live in the moment, we all need to be prepared for what lies ahead! Because just like that, in the twinkling of an eye it can all end! So, I implore you! Now is the time, today is the day of salvation!

Lord Jesus,
I thank you for all that You have done. I thank you for the cross and all that You suffered for my sins. I thank you for Your death and resurrection. I thank you for saving me from the pit and filling me with Your Holy Spirit! l thank you for Your Word, for it is a comfort to my soul and assures me that You are real! Reading Your Word and following what it says helps me to know I have a destination and a hope to look forward to! Your word is a lamp for my feet! I praise You and give You all the Glory! For I am a sinner in need! A sinner that needs your saving hand! Lord I lift up all those who may be reading this and I pray that you would touch their heart and use this story to lead them or encourage them to follow you in all that they do! It is in Your name that I pray, it is Your will I ask to be done! Amen!
