God’s Mercy

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7 (NIV)

Salvation is not achieved by human effort it is achieved by God’s mercy on us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit which is obtained by grace through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In order for this salvation to take place within us we need to accept that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, confess that we are sinners, and put into practice what we learn from reading the Bible, walking with the Lord, and praying everyday!

Heavenly Father, provider of my needs.
I thank you for your kindness, your love and your mercy. I thank you for saving me and filling me with the Holy Spirit and giving me the chance to be renewed. I Thank you for allowing your only begotten son to die on the cross so I can have the hope of eternal life. Lord I ask for your continued guidance and wisdom to live this Godly life to serve you! With these words I pray in Jesus’ name amen
