“Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!” ~ Psalms 144:15 NKJV
There are many things in this world that we can consider to be gods in our own minds that might make us happy. For instance, money, relationships, jobs, drugs, alcohol, sex, the internet, TV, video games, and even loved ones! The fact of the matter is this, people, places, and or things that takes precedence over the one true God can be considered gods if we worship them over the one true king, Jesus Christ! These are temporary things that will soon fade away just like our life! It may seem harsh but it’s the truth! Life on this earth is only temporary and it flys by quicker than a race car going down a 1/4 mile drag strip! And just like that! It’s over! The truth is… True happiness can only come from a relationship with Jesus Christ! For He is eternal and only He can fill that empty void deep within our souls that we are all seeking to fill!
Listen up! We must get our priorities straight! Life is way too short to not take it seriously! We need to wake up and enter into reality and get into a serious relationship with a serious God! Because in the end we will all stand before Him!
“For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God. ’”” Romans 14:11 NLT
When we die, we don’t just get buried in the ground and it’s all over! Our souls will live on! And there’s only two places our souls can go and that’s either Heaven or Hell and we must choose long before that time comes to determine where we’ll go!
The Bible tells us ““You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.” Matthew 7:13 NLT
There is only one way to heaven and that way comes by a relationship with Jesus Christ.
“Jesus told him (Thomas), “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 NLT
Jesus is a living God; Jesus is a merciful God, and He is indeed a loving God! And He loves you and wants the best for you! All you have to do is invite Him in! Give Him the priority and the rest will follow!
Here’s five things that we need to do to make it so….
Accept- For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 (NLT)
Believe- For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NLT)
Repent- Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Acts 3:19 (NLT)
Receive- but to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 (NLT)
Change- And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him. Colossians 2:6 (NLT)
And then, when we follow through with all this and the end of this life here on earth has arrived our meeting with Jesus will be glorious! It will be a victorious day! Where we will hear these words, “‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” Matthew 25:21 NKJV
Oh Happy Day!
Love in Christ,
