I Choose to Live, I Choose Jesus!

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” ~ John 10:27-30 (NKJV)

If you asked me before I became a follower of Jesus Christ what the one thing I was sure of as far as my future was concerned, I would have answered with, “I know I will eventually die!” And the fact of the matter is, yes, we will all eventually die, but until then… I choose Jesus! Have faith and believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and you will have the assurance that even though you will eventually die, you will have life! I don’t know about you, but I choose to live! If we look to the Bible, Jesus tells Martha in John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And in John 3:16 we can read: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

If you believe in the Gospel and abide in the truth [Gods word] you will have the promise of eternal life! Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. [The Gospel of Jesus Christ: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NKJV] If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.” (I John 2:24-25 NKJV)

Living a life following Jesus Christ and abiding in God’s word is the best thing you can ever do for yourself! It was certainly the best thing I ever did! Read God’s Word daily, and do what it says! You won’t regret it! Life will be so much easier! And even though you may not be able to get rid of all your problems, you will be able to overcome them! Just as Jesus died a brutal death on a cross and rose again, you too can overcome! Jesus speaks to His Disciples in John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for bringing me life through my relationship with your Son Jesus Christ and through the promises of Your Word. Your Word is truth; Your Word is what set me free! I now have the ability to overcome this life, I am able to run the race, to reach that promise and the hope You have given all who put their trust in you and your Son Jesus. I will overcome the world! Thank you Father for all your blessings and great gifts! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
