It’s inevitable our time on this earth will one day come to an end and just as the Psalmist cry’s out, we too can cry out!
“Lord , make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah – Psalms 39:4-5 NKJV
Far too often this life that we live becomes a struggle. We wonder when the movie is going to end! Sometimes it feels like day in and day out it’s just reruns after reruns!
So what do we do? “We live life knowing that our life is but a vapor!” And just like many before us we understand that it can all end in the blink of an eye! And this is the hope, that if we put are trust in The Lord no matter how difficult things may get, we will overcome, we will succeed, we will have victory! And on that day when we meet our maker not only will all the pains of this life go away but if we did rightly in the sight of our Lord we will hear…. “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” – Matthew 25:21 (NKJV)
Lord I cry out to you! I repeat the Psalmist words, I acknowledge them, I acknowledge you, I acknowledge Jesus! I follow Your word and I live it’s truth to the best of my ability! I ask for peace, I ask for comfort, I lift my loved ones and all those who read this up to you. Work in my heart and work in theirs. Make us to know our end and the measure of our days. Help us to be all that we can be in You. Help us to realize just how frail we are. Help us to live a life that not only pleases You but leads us to the victory in You! In Jesus name, let Your will be done!
