Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8, 9 NKJV)
Our time on this earth is short and the time fly’s by so fast. The older we get the faster it seems to go by. There are plenty of things in this life that can definitely frustrate us, plenty of things that we could complain about. But where does it get us? Nowhere! So when something or someone is frustrating you look at the bigger picture, remember Paul’s words to the Philippians and meditate on these things!
I ask that you keep us filled with your Holy Spirit. Give us peace and the patience we need to keep our cool. Help us to see the bigger picture, help us to keep our focus on you. Help us to meditate on the things that are true, the things that are noble, the things that are just, the things that are pure, the things that are lovely, the things that are of good report, the things that have virtue and the things that are praise worthy. Father, help us to do what is right! In Jesus’ name, amen!
