“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8 NLT)
Staying healthy by exercising physically is a good thing and can definitely make your body strong, but it only gives us short-term benefits. While training for godliness in our walk with Jesus Christ will give us long-term benefits. For one, it keeps us spiritually fit, and second, it keeps us in tune with The Lord. Reap the benefits today and in the life to come by living Godly. Use your spiritual muscles and commit to prayer. Study God’s word on a daily basis and become strong in The Lord!
Father, God, Wonderful Counselor,
Help us to be Godly, help us to keep spiritually fit. Teach us by your word, help us retain what we learn and live out what we learn! Keep us strong for this life and the next! In Jesus’ name we pray, amen
