When we put our faith in Jesus’ name by the Holy Spirit mighty things can and will happen!

“Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.  So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?  The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.  But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.  And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”  Acts 3 11-16 (NKJV)

The people looked to John and Peter as if they were the ones who healed this man, when indeed it was through great faith and the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name that had made this man strong, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. When we put our faith in Jesus’ name by the Holy Spirit mighty things can and will happen! And when these mighty things happen we need to give Jesus all the glory. As followers of Christ we owe it all to Him! And Without Him we would not be where we are today! Because of his blood we are saved! Put your faith in Jesus’ name to lead and direct your paths and give Him all the glory!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the sacrificial gift of your son and the forgiveness of all my sin even though I don’t deserve it. Keep me filled with your Holy Spirit and help me to continue in my faith in Jesus’ name. Help me to remember that I owe it all to Him, and give Him the glory when the glory is due! In His name I pray, Amen!
