When we became believers in Christ we believed by the preaching of God’s word, we listened and accepted it’s truth. So wouldn’t it make sense that we would follow and obey that same word?
The bible tells us, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – II Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV
I don’t know about you, but I want to be complete! I want to be right with God! I want to be ready and thoroughly equipped to serve my Lord and Savior, and all those around me! I want to follow in the path of righteousness that leads to life, not death!
As Christians this should only be natural that we would want to do these things! And we do these things by reading God’s word and listening to what God has to say!
God’s word tells us, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” – Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV
There will be a day coming sooner than we think, when we all must give an account to God. It’s inevitable we will be judged! And living this life without Jesus leading the way, is just plain dumb! Living this life on our own, will only take us down a path that will lead us to the fiery depths of hell!
So I ask you this… How important is it to be in fellowship with God And His word? How important is it to listen to what God has to say? The answer is this… It’s very important! It’s a matter of life or death! What do you choose? I choose life!
If you’re reading this and you’re not yet fully committed to the things of God you need to get on the right path! You need to believe in Jesus and go all in before it’s too late!
John 3:18 tells us, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” – John 3:16, 18 NKJV
Get right with God by believing in His Son and what He did for you!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16 NKJV
