Using Your Talents For God

Your talent is God’s gift to you; what you do with it is your gift back to God. – Leo Buscaglia

“Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

Believe it or not you are talented! You have a lot more to offer than you may think and even the littlest of talents can be used for God’s glory!

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:17 (NKJV)

The bible tells us, “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV) ”

Using your talents to further God’s Kingdom is making good use of the gift that God has given you. Are you using your talents to further God’s kingdom? Are you ministering to those around you?

“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Romans 12:5-8 NKJV)

Have you been given the gift of prophecy? Does The Lord speak to your heart on the things of His kingdom that you can bless others with? Be faithful and use it in ministry.

Have you been gifted with the ability to teach? Use your skills to teach those around you.

Have you been gifted with the gift of compassion? Are you a good listener? Lend an ear and minister to those who need someone to talk to. Listen for those who are crying out and attend to their needs.

Have you been gifted with the gift of perfection? Are you a neat freak? Then be a good steward in God’s house and get on the cleaning team.

Have you been gifted with the gift of confidence? Do you have a great personality, Do you find it easy to talk with people? Get on the greeting team! When those who are new to the church arrive you will be there first impression! Make their day with your smile!

Whatever talent you may have been gifted, use it for the glory of God’s kingdom and you will indeed be rewarded with the riches of God’s blessings! You will be blessed by blessing those around you!

“Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your great gifts! Thank you for providing the talents needed to further Your kingdom. Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit so we can learn and grow these talents to minister to those in need, the lost, the down trodden, the unloved, those who feel alone, those in desperate need, even those who appear to have it all together! Help us to minister to all! Father without You we are nothing! We need you Father, give us the strength to overcome all things! Help us be all that You intended us to be! In Jesus name, Amen!
