Some folks may think Valentine’s Day was created for all the florists and card makers. But I like the fact that it’s a reminder for me. I was married on this day 21 years ago. I get the opportunity to show my wife that I really love her by buying her gifts to help her remember just that! I LOVE HER! This day is definitely all about love!
The Bible tells us… Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
I put my faith in Jesus Christ, and His blood that was spilled at the cross so I could be saved almost two years ago. My wife thought I was crazy! She later told me that first day I went to church I came back a different man and she no longer knew who I was. She has come along for that ride and I believe she too is now living a life worth living! We go to church and worship The Lord together, we go to Wednesday Bible study, and even have our own Bible study in the evenings together at home. We have met a lot of people and are creating lots of relationships. The Lords work has brought us so much closer together in our relationship and with our families.
I truly believe if every married couple would accept Jesus Christ into their lives, follow God’s word “The Bible” and live out their marriages the way God intended it to be lived there would be a much lower divorce rate.
I love Valentine’s Day, and definitely love my wife very much!
Kimberley, thanks for being you. I love you, and all that you do, and have done for me over the years! You are indeed my best friend. Thanks for sticking with me! I thank God for bringing you into my life!
