Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13, 14 (NKJV)
Without The Lord in our lives we are zombies to a God forsaken world searching for ultimate pleasures and treasures. We become robots performing a daily routine, and caretakers to homes full of junk that we really don’t need! And for me, I am the head junk collector! And all this Junk gets me is a daily reminder of why there’s not much money in the bank account, and another reminder that a whole lot of time was wasted earning the income to buy it all! The fact is, if I were to die today it would be very difficult to take it with me! And without The Lord in my life it will all end with destruction and eternal life in the depths of hell!
I don’t know about anybody else but I choose life! I choose the narrow gate! I choose to have faith and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died on a cross for my sins, and that He rose on the third day according to the scriptures and that He is alive today! He is with me and I am with Him! I have been saved by grace and it is not of my own doing but a gift from God and I am going to take advantage of His gift? I choose to follow Jesus in all His ways! My life will no longer be about me! I will live in truth and the truth will set me free! My life will no longer be the same meaningless routine of seeking worldly fame, fortune and pleasures, my life will be lived for God and His glory!
I preach these words to you, so that you may do the same! Will you take this opportunity and enter through the narrow gate? The gate to life? Have faith and believe, change your ways, you won’t regret it!
Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 (NKJV)
Know that The Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For The Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:3-5 (NKJV)
thank you for giving us your greatest sacrifice, your Son Jesus Christ! Through His death those who have faith and put their trust in Him have a way to you and we are so grateful! We repent from our sins; we look to the heavenly things! We choose you! We choose Jesus! We live life to glorify you! Fill us with your Holy Spirit; fill us with your love! Give us your endless joy, your eternal life! In Jesus’ name, amen!
